affinity photo new line doesn't cover the old one

Hi,

I have a problem with the affinity photo that i have recently bought. on affinityphoto1.png there is a circle. When i draw a new line on top of it the new line doesn't cover the old line (affinityphoto2.png. How do I make it so that the new line to be drawn on top of the old ones?

After restart it all came back to normal so it might be some setting I have unknowingly set.

Could have been a blend mode on the brush or the layer or both
