when placing a symbol designer zooms in to 100%

after edeting a symbol they all move as one, and deleting one deletes all and the symbol in the symbols panel.

Hi Dutchshader,

I'll look into the Zoom issue as that shouldn't be happening, but moving and deleting is 'By Design'. What is happening is that once you edited the curve, you had the object INSIDE the symbol selected, so moving the object inside the symbol will move (and delete) it for all instances of that symbol. This is the same behaviour as 1.6. To avoid that you need to ensure the actual Symbol is selected.

But should it also delete the symbol in the symbols panel?

You've deleted the object out of the Symbol, so the Symbol Panel updates to reflect this!
