Thanks. I think I have the video on how to do that. I just never thought to go there.

I have 102 videos on my computer of how to do things but I needed to know what tool to use as they don't have big explanations for things. Just titles.

Yet another way: draw the circle, convert it to curves, & break it at the top & bottom nodes to create two half circles.

Categorized lists of the official video tutorials can be found here for Designer & here for Photo. Many of them apply to both apps. You don't need to download them to your computer; just click on a title to stream it to your browser.

How does that work? I can open the curve at two points but that doesn't change anything. They're still connected and I cannot remove that half part.

What is that you're doing at the end to the right-end node? Why isn't just the single node moving away but the entire segment?

Anyway, I've found that I have to deselect the entire circle and can then select each half again. It isn't visible that the line has been broken before the selection is redone.
