mark us Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I dont' like the Workflow to chose an image, that is to be placed, from the "open dialog" of the OS. Chosing the Image works much more better in Windows Explorer (in case of Windows OS). But if you do so, th image opens in really big scaled size (very often multiple the size of the document canvas) and you have to shrink it. You could instead use the same, sort of size-predefining, equivalent to the "Place image tool". See the attached video. Thanks a lot!!!!! suggestion_04.mp4 Wosven 1 Quote

How is it better (or even significantly different) to use Explorer rather than the Place dialog? It's just a variant of Explorer. But if you drag it out of it in the layer panel it gets unclipped and in the smaller dimension as you would drag/drop on the canvas in the first place. Nice workaround, haakoo, I also thought about it, but seems to be two steps too much. I like optimizing the workflow. Dragging and dropping from XNView is a good idea, but still the same problem with initial size? Or not? Do we have to wait for an Affinity DAM Tool? Quote
