Ballyshannon
I do logos and various jobs that require text within a circle on a path, and have yet to discover how to make sure text is precisely centered when dragging it around the path and into position without using guides and eyeballing it. Is there a function I'm missing where I can just tell it to center on path?
toltec
How about the Align Centre text option ? Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
Ballyshannon
That was the first thing I tried and throws the text off to the the right side of the circle. Apparently align center only works when typing normal text that's not on a path.
Guest
Hello, Toltec, There is always a slight offset (even if the text is centered) as said @Ballyshannon.

Guest
Hello Pšenda, The offset also exists as you suggest. When the text is selected, the "blue box" shows a difference in thickness: the right part is thinner than the left, which must explain the offset. toltec
@Ballyshannon It may be mainly due to the font you choose? I just tried with Arial and it seems OK.
