Beagle Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 In photoshop I convert color images to b&w by discarding the color info in the original image. How do I do this in Affinity ? Quote
firstdefence Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 Just use the Adjustment filter Black and White from the Layers Panel or Go to the Channel panel and click on any of the background channels and select Create Greyscale Layer. Beagle Posted November 17, 2018 Author Posted November 17, 2018 (edited) Thank you. I just tried but it doesn’t reduce the file size. actually, my display isn’t as yours-I had to get New Adjustment Layer from drop down. Also, I cant find the Channels panel. The Help tells me about the panel but where it’s found. I cannot seem to get a layer that just says Black and White. The one I used is Black and White Adjustment. In Affinity Photo, you can go Document > Colour Format > Greyscale. Then it will be a greyscale document and will be smaller. There is no difference between Black and White and Black and White Adjustment. The Channels panel is down the bottom. If not go View > Studio > Reset Studio. Quote Windows PCs.
