Martin N
Hi It would be a very good feature to add to Publisher. Sometimes you need to force a line ending in order to make the text look better. In past softwares, before the advent of Quark and In Design etc, you could make a soft line ending by using a two key return that would end the line where you want to end it but also would not be active if the line length changed. The problem at present with all these various softwares is that you only have a paragraph style not a single line style. You could introduce cmd+return which would be a clever addition and something that the other softwares do not have. Thanks Martin
Old Bruce
Try Shift + Return. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

In the Affinity apps, Cmd+Return (or Ctrl+Enter on Windows) converts the selected text to curves/outlines. I called it sense line but nothing came out of it. You could add your voice of support for this feature if you feel strongly about it as I do. You can add soft line return using Control+Return in Publisher. I remapped it to Shfit+Return to keep the same key combination as in inDesign. It was about allowing hanging indentations on individual lines within a paragraph. You are partially right. I said I campaigned for a similar feature not the same, though. I hope that it will be eventually noticed by the devs though. It would be a feature that no other software offers a the moment as far as I am aware. walt.farrell 1 Quote 2017 27” iMac 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 • Radeon Pr 580 8GB • 64GB • Ventura 13.6.4. iPad Pro (10.5-inch) • 256GB • Version 16.
