Inserting Bullets

PagePlus is my DTP of choice because of its ease of use.  I especially like the key command features which make it so user friendly.  One feature I use daily is the Ctrl+Alt+8 command for inserting bullets.  I am disappointed in not finding it in Affinity but instead I have to go through the long process of menus.  I would like to see some simple key strokes for inserting bullets in AP.

I'm not a PagePlus user, so I don't know what Ctrl+Alt+8 really does, or precisely what you mean by "inserting bullets".

If you mean "start a bulleted list" then that's just one mouse click on the "Bulleted List" button on the Context Menu while you have the Text Frame Tool selected. Or you can assign a shortcut key to that in the Preferences dialog, Keyboard Shortcuts, in the Layout/Text section.

Generally, though, it might be better to assign an existing paragraph style (Bullet 1, for example) or one you create to your list, as that will give you more control and make larger documents easier to manage.

In PagePlus, Ctrl+Alt+8 simply inserts a bullet character.

Also, you can add keyboard shortcuts to paragraph styles, so setting one on a bulleted style might give a similar (but superior) effect to the one being requested?

In the latest beta this is Text > Insert > Symbol > Bullet, and can be given a keyboard shortcut in Preferences if desired.
