Scarlett Phoenix
This had been happening for my iPad Pro for a while now, but I just thought it was because I was storing everything on the ipad & not icloud. When I noticed I was running out of space, I too removed everything from the iPad and moved all to the cloud. Nope, didn’t do anything, and it’s creeping up to almost taking up all space as well now. How can this have been a problem for so many for going on 2-3 years and nobody has a solution. I LOVE AD & AP and left Adobe & their lacklustre iPad “Pro” apps for them with no regrets, but HOW is this still happening with NO fix?!? I don’t want to simply “delete & reinstall” every time this happens - I have settings & brushes etc etc that I don’t want to have to reinstall. Very frustrating! RcAbdulkh
Not much of a choice unfortunately. I tried to save everything manually to the cloud because cloud wasn't automatically saving affinity designer, then I had to uninstall designer and re-download the app. I still lost some files too strangely. Eskat
I'm facing a similar situation. I have no open projects at the moment in affinity designer. I have saved everything and closed. But still affinity designer is using 29.74gb of my storage for no reason. How to get rid of this?
Godot
This is still a current problem. On my 256Gb iPad Air 4, the Settings app shows AF using more storage than possible. Eventually, AF actually does consume too much storage and I’m forced to delete it, simply to use other apps (such as LumaFusion). I have deleted and reinstalled AF numerous times to reclaim its storage. Then I reimport my AF projects from the Files app, and everything is OK, for a while. But as I continue to use AF, its storage grows and I have to repeat the deletion/reinstallation.

Create a folder structure using iCloud files app and store your work there for future use, not within the app. Quote My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools….
