Arghhhhh: Add (combine) shapes doesn't work

I have multiple shapes (curves) which I want to Add (combine). But when I do it gives me a weird shape. See below. First screen grab is uncombined, second one is combined. When combined the one horizontal line has been made into a triangle!!!!!!!

I've tried using Add and Subtract three times. All three times it hasn't worked.

This is a joke.

Thanks for that. How did you manage to do it?

Select all objects, go to the Transform panel and rotate 2 degrees, perform the add operation, rotate the result -2 degrees.

I'm pleased there is a work around, but there really shouldn't have to be a work around for something so basic.

It's weird, I downloaded the file twice: the first one had the defect, I multiplied the size of the drawing by 3 before combining and the result disappeared. Then I brought the drawing back to its original size.

The second download did not have the defect, combined gave the expected result at the original size.

As I said earlier, we are aware there's issues with the boolean operations - we have several cases logged. This is something complex that will require considerable time and testing to fix properly. Please bear with us while we work on it.
