Changing node from sharp to smooth via modifier

Recommended Posts

I can change a node from smooth to sharp via a modifier key but not vice versa. To change a sharp node to smooth I must go to the pen tool, drag out the handles and then go back to my other tool, albeit I change tools very quickly via my own shortcuts. However, changing tools is a much slower process than simply using a modifier key. I hope you can add this feature sometime in the future.

Agreed. It is a pointless and a frustrating workflow. Some inputs from professional designers and user experience designers would catch these annoying hurdles before the beta of release 1.0. Oh? Version 1.0 was released years ago? 😣

Using Node Tool on a Mac, hold down ctrl key and click on a sharp node to make it smooth.

Using Pen Tool on a Mac, hold down cmd + ctrl and click on a sharp node to make it smooth.

Great, anon2, and many thanks. I should have tried all of the modifiers since if one worked (OPT) then the others or a combo of them should have been obvious. Affinity would not do the one without the other. You have made my day!

If it helps someone using Windows. Right Mouse and Left Click on node = Convert to smooth node

I think it works better if you work with a mouse, I tried and it worked with a mouse.

I use Wacom and could not make it work for some reason.
