Creating Vector Brushes

Recommended Posts

There are 2 types of vector brush....

Textured intensity Brush

Textured Image Brush

Try:

1. Textured intensity brushes should allow you to change the colour of a .png nozzle acting as a brush

2. Make sure the .png file is transparent

How did you create the PNG file? What is its colour depth (i.e. how many bits per pixel)?

  • 1 year later...

I had the same problem. PNG w or w/o transparency, black on white or white on black.

I solved it by quitting (and remove app from iPad's "cache" by swiping it away when viewing recently opened app) and re-starting. And using a non-transparent PNG, I.e. white brush image on black background. The same file gave me transparent brush and black background before. So it was a bug, or some internal switch was turned on or off by re starting. It's possible they use different method to deal w images with transparency like PNG vs JPG, and sometimes it used the wrong method to intrepret PNG w transparent.
