PDF-export flattened, 'rasterizing nothing'

While exporting a smaller PDF (flattened) to send via Email, I wanted the fonts not be rasterized. The 'rasterize everything' version shows the right luminosity of the background pic, a light grey wall. When 'rasterizing nothing' the light grey turns into dark and the red colour isn't shown correctly too.

are you able to provide the file you are exporting to PDF at all? Setting rasterise to nothing pretty much negates the flatten aspect so it would be useful to see what is in the file that may cause the shift

Uhm, I had the idea, that all images would be flattened, but the text would stay text/curves and not be pixeled.

Edit: Instead I should have chosen 'print', but with 72 dpi, which would reduce the file size aswell.
