Linked Images Frames

Recommended Posts

Hi,

It would be very nice to have the same process for images like the Linked text frames. Possibility to link a same image in several frames. Actually we have to copy the same image in many frames and then to cut its at the good place... It's difficult to get the perfect alignment

Thanks for Affinity Publisher, thanks for your job ! :)

Hi @Bernie38,

I am not quite sure if I correctly understand what you mean by linked images.

But if you want to place the same image in several places of the document an have to look it the same everywhere you should look into Symbols (View > Studio > Symbols). Symbols are 'linked objects'. If you edit one of them all other instances look the same. There is already a section in the help file if you search for 'Symbols'.

Cheers,
d.

Perhaps the image that is needed on multiple document pages should be put in a Master page. Then one could simply apply that Master to any document page that needs the image, and it will be identical in all the document pages.

Sorry it's hard to me to explain my question...

No I don't want the same image in several pages. I would insert an image in a frame and, like a text frame, separate this image in a second frame linked with the first

If i reduce the first image frame, for example, the second will be automatically updated to display the piece of image deleted in the first frame..

But, thanks all, I'll try your different solutions :)

No, there's nothing like that.

I concur with @walt.farrell, there is nothing like this at the moment. But I also cannot imagine what the use of this function would be.

Same here! Perhaps the OP could describe a typical use case for this.
