I'm using the latest update (November 2018) on my iMac.

I created a table with optima regular 14 point.  Half way through populating the table all the text suddenly went light grey.  I spent a while trying to use the colour when; the show table tab etc. etc.

In the end, I deleted the whole table (column by column as I couldn't find a delete table tab), and started again with a new table.  I now have black, optima, regular, 14 point and I'll leave the page at that for fear of going prematurely grey!

What did I do wrong?

All help gratefully received

Maybe you altered the opacity of the text?

Hi Firstdefence,

Thank you for this suggestion for which I am grateful.

I did try to alter the opacity as a way to change it back to black, but it did not appear to have any effect.

I think there's quite a learning curve with the use of tables, as things stand.

I've also noticed that selecting the whole table (including the headers) doesn't guarantee being able to change the font overall - it seems to revert to the generic arial font.

I'll stick with it as, though, as I really like Publisher.

Kind regards,

Philip
