I don't understand what you're asking for. Can you expand that description, and possibly provide an example of what the command would do?

Normally word processors have a provision to change a particular piece of text or word in a document wherever it occurs in the document.  If you are acquainted with Serif PagePlus then you would find this very useful.

What confused me was your referring to it as being part of the File command. In my experience it's normally part of the Edit menu, but in Publisher it's  part of the Text menu (and the Find and Replace studio/panel). I've never seen it as part of File.

The reason for looking in the File command was the help info,  I agree with you that it should be in edit menu as part of text.  To be honest I am having some difficulties with the program in general finding some of common commands I would expect.

Sorry, but I didn't say that. I said that in most programs I have used it is under Edit. It makes more sense, in Publisher, for it to be under Text.

The Publisher Help is correct for this function. If you open Help, and use "Find" (without the quotes) as the search term, the first result is for Find and Replace, which directs you to the Text menu:
