michalo
Hi all. Is there a way I can draw a subtraction mask with a curve tool? Similar as PS can. - you can draw Positive and negative areas with curve and then convert it to the mask.
Staff Callum Posted November 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 8, 2018 Hi Michalo, You could draw a path using the Pen Tool then choose Mask towards the top left of the app Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. michalo
That's right. But I can't mix different curves into one mask. Or can I? It's what I'm talking about. How to use curve tool to mask something with more complex shape? When I need to mask out few diiferent areas in one image.
michalo
Here's a picture for my question. How convert these 2 curves to mask out area they cover without converting it to selection and paint a mask manually, one by one.
Staff MEB Posted November 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 8, 2018 Hi michalo, Welcome to Affinity Forums Select both curves then go to menu Layer ▸ Geometry ▸ Add to create a single object from them, then select the Pen Tool and click the Mask button in the context toolbar to convert it to a (vector) mask.
