funkmaster3000
Is there a way to open/import AI files that have objects out of bounds? Most of my Illustrator files have objects all over the place. When opening AI file in Designer what you see is only what's on the artboard and in my case it's most of the times nothing. So I have to open Illustrator, move objects and then open the file in Designer. Thank you.
Staff MEB Posted November 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 8, 2018 Hi funkmaster3000, Welcome to Affinity Forums Affinity is only able to import the content contained in the PDF stream of the Ai file (the rest is proprietary). Since this stream doesn't contain objects placed outside the canvas area it's not possible to import them. Move those objects to the canvas or create an artboard and place those objects there and you should be able to get them on import.
