jhuylebroeck
Hi, I bought Affinity Photo quite a while back (almost 2 years ago) and I want to know whether there's a way to get it through the Microsoft Store now, or do I need to buy it again if I also want it through that channel? Staff StevenS Posted November 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 8, 2018 Hi jhuylebroeck, Welcome to the Affinity forum. This would not be possible without an additional purchase. jhuylebroeck
It does seem to contradict that you are licensed for the windows platfom. The fact that you're getting it through the store is just another way of acquiring it, in my opinion.
walt.farrell
Is there some reason it's important for you to have it via the Microsoft Store? I think you'll get a version that's harder to integrate with some other applications, due to the restrictions that Microsoft applies to applications purchased from the store. Staff MEB Posted November 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 8, 2018 Hi jhuylebroeck, Welcome to Affinity Forums The Affinity and Microsoft Stores are independent from each other - there's no user data shared between the two - so we can't switch or provide licenses to users to acquired the application from one of them for the other.
