Initial Words and Drop Caps have a problem appearing.

Recommended Posts

I am noticing a fairly consistent problem with the Paragraph Style applying either (and both) a Character Style for the Drop Caps and one for the Initial Words feature of Paragraph Styles. I set up a paragraph style for the first paragraph and a character style for the drop capital. It works, as does the pair I set up for another paragraph using the initial words thing.
Now for the problem. I set up a new document and import the styles. I bring in a bunch of text and start applying the styles, the initial words and the drop cap won't appear until I open the Paragraph style turn off the character style (by choosing [No Style]) and save that then open it again and turn on the character style and save it.
I may have to do this twice once with the character style and once with turning off the Drop Cap or Initial Words check box. This is consistant with many different documents and different text files and fonts etc. The feature doesn't stick with new documents.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

HI Old Bruce

I'm not able to replicate this I;m afraid. Can you give it a go in 157 and see if it is something you still get? If so would you be able to attach the file with the styles that are not importing for you?

Thanks

Okay, I'll let you know.
