Denny
Hi! I’m working on an ad for a client. Specific dimensions are a page size 8.5 x 11 but with crop marks set at an area of 5.5 x 8.5. Is this something that can be done by the app or should I just create my own marks? The only option I see is to include crop marks when exporting but I don’t see a way to set the specifics. Thanks! DM1
From what I recall last time I asked about crop marks, you can't set crop marks in the iPad version yet, but if they are set on desktop and file opened on iPad, the crop marks will be honoured. Denny
Thanks! I’ve got the desktop versions of both Designer and Photo and have looked through the built-in app help and don’t see an option for setting the position of crop marks on the page. I’ve tried margins and guides but these don’t seem to affect the location of the crop marks on the pdf. Any tips? DM1
The only reference to crop settings I have seen is on the export page when you select PDF the crop option shows up. Sorry I only have iPad version. Maybe desktop is same or check the initial page setup options? Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Print to PDF and set Printers marks, crops etc as you want using the print dialog options. Place the PDF file in your 11 x 8.5 page and use the crops that were generated when you printed the smaller page. Don’t add any crops to the bigger page when you output or use the iPad version. Just be careful that you place the PDF at 100%. You can even set bleed just by overlapping the dimensions of the smaller page. SandraM and Alfred 2 Quote Windows PCs.
