Toan
Hi, I'm trying to simply edit the text in a text layer. I choose the Artistic text tool, hover over the text and a new text layer is created. I choose the "move too" and it just allows me to move the text. When I used photoshop, all I had to do was select the layer, select the text tool and double left click and I'm able to edit the text. Please advise. Thanks
Staff MEB Posted October 29, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 29, 2018 Hi Toan, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you have the Move Tool selected, double-click the text object to start editing it. If you have one of the Text tools selected, click on the text object to start editing it. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Toan
I tried to double click with the "Tool" selection and nothing happens. I tried to do as you intsructed with the text tool and it just creates another layer. Just an FYI, this file is originally a photoshop file if that makes a difference. Staff MEB Posted October 29, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 29, 2018 Go to Affinity Preferences, General section and tick Import PSD text as text rather than bitmap, then open the PSD again to have all text layers as editable text objects rather than images. You can then select/edit the text as I was describing. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
