ap 1.6.7: inpaint brush - red mask is gone

Recommended Posts

Hi yaapu,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Check if you are working with an Image layer - look at the label between parenthesis after the layer's name in the Layer's panel - If it says Image, right-click on the layer and select Rasterise. You can then use the Inpainting Brush Tool as usual. This tool only works on pixel layers.

If the case above doesn't apply, check the Flow in the context toolbar (with the Inpainting Brush Tool selected). Is it set to 0%? If so increase it to 100%.

I will provide you with the details later. Ap is called by lightroom6. It is an editable Image and flow is set to 100%. Inpaint behaves more like an adjudtment Layer now - the brush is showing the inpaint. Os is the latest macOS. I will check if something in the trackpad settings changed

can be closed.

it was a trackpad setting which seams to have changed in 10.14. "force click and haptic feedback". deselecting makes inpaint work again
