blw Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 I was bopping along and placing some PDF when I goofed and put the wrong PDF file in the doc. I selected the placed PDF and when I hit the DEL button, I got a crash as attached. crash oct 26.txt
Chris_K Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Hi blw Is this a crash you can replicate by trying to delete the same PDF? And if it is would you be able to attached the PDF for us to look into the crash? Cheers Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com
blw Posted October 29, 2018 Author Posted October 29, 2018 Unfortunately not. I tried that immediately. I really do wish I could capture a crash dump as I historically have done on every Unix system previous to the Mac... [Googles...] OK, now I know about lldb, so I'll enable that from now on. I am moderately sure that the one I deleted is a variant of what's on page 69 of the file uploaded in my Memory Consumption thread. From what I remember, I had exported that PDF with the wrong fonts - probably it was whatever OpenOffice defaults to (TimesRoman?). So I deleted the placed PDF and it crashed. I then fixed the font in OO, then exported it again and placed it as you see it. It's possible it happened on page 68 instead, but probably it was 69.
