Yes...

To 'create' something with the brushes is the whole purpose of releasing a brush library to the forum!... they are free!.....use them as you wish....:)!

There are a lot of brushes here!.:) The library is only a small selection of the total created...Installing and testing them all would take a long time...

At the moment I only have the inkBrush Project Brush sets installed...only a limited number of these were released/added to the library.

If it helps....

The most popular ones are :'

Descriptive: dots' , 'hatching',  'vegetation sets' and 'patterns'

Project sets 'Poison' (set A)

Recommended
Personally I prefer the most recent sets..
Inkbrush Project sets are my favourite at the moment...for obvious reasons..

Raster
Texture Paint (Mixed Nozzle sample set)
Any of the Poison 'Raster' Project sets
Vegetation Brushes set 3
Project Brush Grunge set 9
Project Set 11:Camouflage Mixed Samples

Vector
InkBrush:Render
InkBrush Linear
InkBrush:Render Texture

Again, thanks @StuartRc :). I may be the only one but I feel a bit lost in how/when to use these brushes/assets/styles/...... I'd need some free time to sit, think, read and test them :$

I can fully understand that...When I started I didn't expect the project to grow so large...I don't have all these brushes installed...but there are some sets I use all the time. Mostly the InkBrush sets (biggest I believe!) Grunge and now organic sets. With the older brush sets I just install when needed..or create a project set for the drawing at hand.

Building a Brush Library has helped a lot with the textures for drawings (vector and raster)...I use them all the time..even though initially they were a by-product of brush creation.

From a personal standpoint:

1.Vector brushes for drawing and sketching
2. Raster for texturing and patterning especially dots hatch and patterns. (Mixing these together can create some interesting effects) also to erase back using an alternative texture
3. Grunge and splatter for creating paint like effects (especially when opacity dropped down) to build up colour + background grunge texture (I am sure that is on a lot of my drawings). Also used to create vector based texture (as in Camouflage II background and Poison)
4. Organic pattern brushes to add texture to solid ink/shapes
5. Vector elements to create vector based texture inside shapes + mixed with transparency and tints to create depth (why I added vector grunge/ patterns and forms)
6. Pattern Brush well to create Patterns (as there are no vector pattern options yet!)... (one of my favourite sets..+ it includes some isometric)...used specifically for one drawing Tin Man the latest part of this are the new styles and layered Symbol elements

Project Brush sets for individual drawings as it was getting annoying constantly moving between brush sets...so why not have set specific for the job... and just pull in what you need from a Library..hence a Library....should have a different name though....I liked the black hole comment...earlier but that name is already taken for a brush set/s...I checked!:/ ..

The InkBrush Set was created specifically to work with ink-style drawing trying to re-create what I used to do on a drawing board. I use this set a lot..It's usually the only group of brushes installed...unfortunately I haven't added much of it to the forum...
The InkPainter Set...listed but not completed yet...created when I found the InkBrush set had nozzles too small to work on larger ink drawings..but as I was creating a new set..I changed many of the nozzles (+refined)...Using this set at the moment for  a new 1500 x 500mm drawing

The by-products ..vector elements and base textures have been used extensively on the larger vector drawings (Poison, Camouflage I and II, Shy, )

Hope this helps

Nasty! I'm torn between being overly grateful for your brushes and "Heck! He again edited/added some!!!11!!!". 'cause latter often causes lack of sleep for me as I just forget about time when testing/using them!

Seriously, tho. A huge thank you for sharing these brushes!

Thank you!...Hope you find them useful....The later sets are build using the 1.7/8 brush engine...They needed to be updated really as the older sets were looking a bit 'dark' when you painted with them. Had to reduce the accumulation and flow down to compensate..plus did not really explore the updated brush engine..You should find the new sets work better and offer a bit more variation..as a lot of the nozzles have been replaced (new ones and exchanging for vector as opposed to an original image image!)

It's good to share!:)
