orient96
Hello, I need to create text that goes around a circle on the top and in the same circle i can start a new frase i found a picture in the internet that show what i really need. the First part where says " Premium Designs " i have no problem, my problem is the lower part, where says "By Premium Designers" you can see that look like a new sentence , i experiment quite a bit, the only thing i can get, is the text going in the insight of the circle but is not what i need. any suggestions? Thanks
Staff Dan C Posted October 22, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 22, 2018 Hi orient96 This can be done using the baseline modifier in the context toolbar, I've made a quick video below showing this! Anastasios
Hi, how do you manage that the text stays on the same layer like your ellipse and is "sticking" to the cycle and following the ring? (my version is 1.8.3) thanks Anastasios
Staff MEB Posted July 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted July 2, 2020 Hi Anastasios, Welcome to Affinity Forums After entering the text for the top part press Enter to switch to the bottom/inner side of circle. Then select the bottom text and use the Baseline control in the context toolbar to move it to the outside of the circle (as shown in Dan's video). Anastasios
Hi MEB I already cannot reproduce the second step. 1) draw an ellipse 2)select text tool. The text Dan creates is a "shape path text". The text follows immediately the ellipse shape. how can I do this? my Text is just simple text on another layer.
Staff MEB Posted July 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted July 2, 2020 You have to place the cursor (Artistic Text Tool selected) over the ellipse until it changes to a T with a small wave below, then, either click and drag to set the size of the font first (as Dan did in the video) or simply click and start typing (the text will have the size specified in the Font Size control the context toolbar in that case). Anastasios
Hi MEB thanks, Exactly this change to the "T-wave" does not happen. The mouse remains always like this
carl123
Text on a Path is not available natively in APhoto you need Designer or Publisher to do this Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
