Staff Dan C Posted October 22, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 22, 2018 Hi namguni Could you please provide a screenshot of your export options under 'More...'? I too am able to export the PDF using the PDF (for export) preset. seastar708
Hello all, I´ve got the same problem with the same features, already shown in the pictures from the others and the alarm, too. ("File could not be created..") PDF-export doesn´t running on my PC. Other files are no problem. My version is the same as Namguni´s and I´m using it with Win 10. I´ve done a reset/deleting of the User Data and the File Export Presets, but the problem stays.........
Staff Dan C Posted February 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 11, 2019 Thanks for that Martin, I've attached some .reg files which will create a log when you try and export to PDF. Please close Affinity, then follow the instructions below - 1. Create a folder called 'temp' on the root of your C:\ drive so you have C:\Temp\ 2. Run 'PDFLibLogging.reg' - this will insert a registry entry that enables logging for PDFLib 3. Run Affinity and export to PDF 4. Go to C:\Temp\ and view the PDFlib.txt file to see the log. (Please upload this log file to your reply) 5. Run 'PDFLibLoggingRemove.reg' to remove the logging as this can cause slowdown and crashes if the C:\Temp file is removed. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hi seastar708, Welcome to the forums Can you please follow the above instructions and provide a copy of the log file that is created? Staff Dan C Posted February 12, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2019 Thanks for that martin22 The log shows a conflict with the font Dummies.ttf, this has been reported before at the below thread - Please close Affinity, delete the aforementioned font in C:\Windows\Fonts and then try to re-export the file. If it fails again, please re-enable the pdflib log, as there may be multiple fonts causing the conflicts. martin22
Hi Dan, it worked after removing the font and other one (SI FONT). Many thanks for your help. Dan C
seastar708
Hello all, my problem is solved. It was the font "Dummies.ttf" and when it is erased, than is the PDF-Export possible again. Best regards and thanks for your help Dan C
