Benjman
I'm trying to create a grid of 2:1 isometric in Affinity with a width of 64 pixels. Why doesn't the first vertical line align to 64 pixels? It seems to be aligned somewhere around 57.5 pixels.
firstdefence
Because the spacing is not horizontal. Benjman
Anyone know how I can get the width to be exactly half of 64? It seems like there is rounding from spacing that is preventing me from doing it by doing the math. spacing = 32 / sin(27) = 70.48605647 But affinity only allows for 3 decimal places. Even if I type the formula directly in the spacing field, it rounds.

firstdefence
In Preferences you can up the decimal places I think Affinity can work to 6 decimal places Not a numbers guy so I drew a line 32px from the edge and adjusted the grid to match up, I get a grid number of 40.1px Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... R C-R
A bit off topic but I wonder why in the Windows app the 2:1 triangular grid angles are displayed rounded off to whole degrees (27° & 153°) but in the Mac app are displayed to 1 decimal place (26.6° & 153.4°). It does not have anything to do with the display decimal settings.
