I tried to create gradient effect in my icon. But I found a problem.

I use layer effect and the gradient looks great, but it's rasterized after I exported to SVG.

So I tried another way to create the gradient. I created gradient in fill and stroke of each shape (notch is made of fill and the body is made of stroke). It's exported as a vector, but the gradient looks weird.

Can anyone give me a solution for this problem :( ?

Hello Rizki Akbari Utama,

You can do a Boolean "Add" operation with both shapes and then apply a gradient to the filling. The gradient will not be pixelated when exporting svg.

Try creating 3 shapes for Boolean Add -

1 Rounded Rectangle

2 smaller rounded rectangle nested.

> Boolean subract small from big

3 Rounded rectangle on top

> Boolean add Top rectangle from rounded outline.

Hint - you can also "option + Boolean add or subtract" to create a compound object for editing.

Hi, Rizki Akbari Utama,

Your 1st post included a layer called notch. Your last one did not, and from what I can see of the layer panel, you are getting what the lowest layer, "Main Body" has as a shape.

@Rizki Akbari Utama, draw the large rectangle (without filling and with a contour of the desired thickness). Draw over the small rectangle (with filling and without contour).
Select the large rectangle, "Layer", "Expand Stroke".
Select both shapes and press "Add".
Apply the desired gradient to the filling.
