Thonex
Hi there, I'm using Affinity Publishing to create some tables for a site that usually I would do in Google Sheets with ease. One of the workflow busters is trying to create angled text in cells so that they do not occupy too much horizontal space in a cell. This (AFAIK) is impossible in AP using the Table. One must create text boxes for each cell and then rotate them. And then when you re-size the table, it is VERY tedious to then re-align the angled text with the table cells. This really should be incorporated into the table's Character > Position & Transform section or the panel Table > Rotation > Angle. This most certainly would be a very useful option. mrbips
Is this still broken errr... not an option yet? Working on a table and I also want sideways text to label a row and cannot see a way to change the direction of text. Current workflow appears to be only creating a text box and rotating but completely messes up workflow if any sizes are changed. Is it on the roadmap? Is there a roadmap we can look at so we know whats coming ?

No roadmap But bear in mind that Publisher now has Pinning which was not available when this thread was started So you can now pin text frames to table cells and they will move and scale with the table a lot better than non-pinned text frames Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
