Drop caps workflow appears to be slightly bugged?

Recommended Posts

Creating a drop cap within a paragraph.  Then Cut this highlighted drop cap and make new small text box to insert said drop cap.  Now, the paragraph from which it was cut sends the next letter do be a drop cap as well.  While not helpful,, any attempt to rectify this by setting to no styles did not work.  So one has to push Walt's Ghostbuster button (Revert to default) in order to reset everything.  As a side note the whole text font changes to default when the drop cap is initially made and I have to reset the chosen font each time.  By the way this 'O' you see was as a result of cutting the H drop cap out of the paragraph.  Look, there are no problems here, I can still do what I need, but I was in two minds as to whether or not to mention this since I would not know if this is a bug or just me doing something wrong.  Chris.:)

Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? Then looking for the dishwasher and finding it stored in the living room where you have to download a water supply from the app store, then you have to buy microsoft compliant soap, remove the carpet only to be told that it is glued to the floor.. Don't forget to make multiple copies of your front door key and post them to all who demand access to all the doors inside your home including the windows and outside shed.

Apple - Like entering your home and opening the oak framed Kitchen door and finding the dishwasher right in front you ready to be switched on, soap supplied, and water that comes through a water softener.  Ah the front door key is yours and it only needs to open the front door.

Hi Chris26

The Drop cap style is a paragraph attribute so it is applied to the entire paragraph instead of just the character. Therefor it will make whatever the first character of that paragraph is a drop cap until you turn this off.

The no style not removing the Drop Cap is a known issue

If your font is different from the font set in the base style that the Drop Cap is based on then it will change unless you specifically set that font int he drop cap text style itself. You can apply drop caps from the paragraph panel if you want to preserve local formatting

Thanks
