Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Just tried to update Affinity Publisher beta from 1.7.0.139 to 1.7.0.145 but update crashed?

Downloaded 27mb update then crashed on installing!!!

Any advice please? Seem to be stuck on version 1.7.0.139 for now?

Regards

My download (though it was on Windows) was much bigger. You might try downloading again.

Hi Walt,

Thanks for suggestion. I reported update failure merely to advise dev team of possible issue.

I have uninstalled Publisher Beta Version 1.7.0.139 completely, downloaded latest, full, version and reinstalled 1.7.0.145: Which is now working OK, will have another go with next update!

Out of curiosity, was the update that worked still only 27MB?

For mac we have introduced a new auto-update technology which allows us to supply patch files which can be much smaller than the full download. This is the first instance I have seen of this process failing, although it is still quite new for us.

TonyRS - if you could supply a crash report that would be great. If not, don't worry, we will have to keep an eye on this and investigate if it becomes more than a one-off.
