Affinity Photo: How to calibrate photo colours to a CMYK calibration card

Recommended Posts

I have taken a series of artifact photos with a small image calibration card. Where the artifacts I am looking at have a range of colours, I wanted to adjust the calibration, where possible to best present how these artifacts look in real life, and I am not a good photographer, so most are slightly off.

Which tool or tools would I use in Photo?

Although not a perfect solution you could use the Info panel as a guide.

Drag a sampler target from the Info panel over each colour and set the sampler to CMYK (by clicking on the black/white icon)

You will then get a readout of each colour where the targets are and can use an HSL layer to adjust.

You can add more samplers by using the burger menu. There are three shown below.

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
