Document window size in Separated Mode

Recommended Posts

I'm using Separated Mode at the moment and when creating a new document, it's window appears quite small which means I have to reposition and resize it too be able to use it. InDesign opens the document to full screen size which, I think, works better and means that you don't have to mess around with it before starting.

Is it possible to force the window to open in a bigger size without using switching from Separated Mode?

The two examples below are new A3 size documents - but document size doesn't make any difference to window size.

That is a bummer, there should be something in the Preferences > User Interface along the lines of 'In Separated Mode new documents fill screen'.

An aside, for me I have a lot of crashes in Separated Mode.

This happens to me too and in all Affinity software. Are you using a MBP with separate monitor? My guess is that Affinity uses size of the built in screen and ignores larger work monitor dimensions.

Second problem is that Affinity software in separated mode tends to forget there are toolbars and there is no way to get them visible without resetting preferences.
