Importing PDFs with bleed

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is a duplicate - I searched but could not find anything.

I am importing a Press-Ready PDF/X-1, a full A4 page ad supplied with crop marks and 3mm bleed. Publisher wants to crop the PDF to the TrimBox 210x297. As I need to include the 3mm all round bleed in the Publisher document - it should be using the PDF BleedBox. This is the default action in InDesign.

Publisher is really getting there now. The inclusion of the BleedBox is a must in my work in magazine and book design.

thanks

Definitely needed - a recent build added a drop-down in the context bar for selecting which 'Spread' of a multi-page pdf to display (odd naming by the way) - could there be a similar drop down for bleed/slug/trim? Same would go for placed Affinity Designer files.

With Pub 2.0.3.1674 - good to see the bleed display bug is now fixed for placed multipage PDF / Affinity docs, but just wondering if theres a workaround to have bleedbox displayed as the default,  just to save all the faff of having to switch on page by page for big documents ---- Walt Farrell ----!?!?!?
