jpickett1968 Posted October 8, 2018 Share Posted October 8, 2018 I was told that Affinity was the way to go to create SVG items, but I'm having a hard time finding help on this topic. I wish to convert PNG or JPG logos into SVG so that I can manipulate the objects in 3D space in a different program. To be able to save them as editable vector objects to SVG they must be first converted to paths/shapes using an auto-trace functionality (or tracing the logos manually). Currently Affinity doesn't have/offer this functionality so the only way to do this here is recreating/tracing the logo manually with the Pen Tool/shapes tools. Inkscape does have a trace feature. There's also third party apps (Image Vectorizer, Vector Magic, Super Vectorizer 2) and online services that do/offer this functionality.
