goobee
Hi I'm currently taking daily pictures for a long-term timelapse video. I notice that the color of the same object varies heavily depending on the weather conditions. Is there a method to align the color in all pictures in one go (I expect hundreds of pics for the timelapse video)? thanks goobee
Staff Callum Posted October 4, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 4, 2018 Hi Goobee, Welcome to the forums. As far as I know there is no way to do this all in one go, you would have to adjust the colour of each image manually. Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.

The brightness also changes in the weather, so the change of color corresponds to reality. firstdefence
You would have to control the environment, so if inside close curtains and manually light the scene, if its outdoors good luck with that. Unless you absolutely require consistent lighting go with the flow. Maybe an explanation of what you are time lapsing would get more accurate answers? After thought: What app are you going to compile and edit the time lapse in? the reason I ask is Adobe After Effects has exposure and colour stabiliser filters. goobee
Hi firstdefence the object in focus is a building site where an old building is being dismantled to be replaced by a new shopping mall (in front of my office window) the video editor in mind is currently DaVinci resolve
firstdefence
Good subject, sad but thats the way of the world. I'm sure DaVinci Resolve has some pretty powerful tools to correct colour and deflicker, I think they call it colour stabilising or colour balancing something like that.
