cseeman
It would be good to have a built in Charts and Graphs tool that would convert Table entry into such forms. Apple Pages has such feature for example. PaoloT, IslandVibes and Petar Petrenko
HYR
I agree. That’d be fantastic. cseeman
pruus
We have tables in Publisher, adding a chart-function would be great. cseeman, segts and IslandVibes
segts
Are there charts for Affinity Publisher in the works? They said they'd be offering charts in the upcoming software. Can't seem to find it if it is there. THX S:)
cseeman
Not seeing it there yet but I do hope Serif Affinity confirms it's on the roadmaps. Much of my DTP work involves reports with charts and graphs, cutting and pasting and then going back to originals to edit is awkward. The result is I'm still forced to go back to Apple Pages for such work segts

U. Dinser
I think this is a job for Affinity Designer, not for Affinity Publisher.

The reason i think it could make more sense in publisher is probably the same reason publisher has tables and designer doesn’t. In designer the values given is relative to whole documents but in charts, values are exclusive to individual chart. Oval
Would be great to be able to easily generate and edit charts. Even corona seems to be no reason for a new app or to implement that feature. Edit: What a waste of time changing charts because apps still have no design-AI (see the design problems in the charts above). Serif could make the difference. PaoloT
While charts are in Illustrator and not in InDesign, I find them fitting Publisher better. Usually, charts are accompanying written text and tables. The fact they are in Illustrator is probably because they were developed when InDesign tables where still in a very early development stage. Petar Petrenko
Unless they can be easily transfered from app to app, it doesn't matter in which app they will be implemented. But, for me, it makes sence this app to be Publisher because of the tables already in it. artokmt
Maybe tools can be in Designer and then we have Studiolink, same tools can be also in Publisher Designer persona.
Petar Petrenko
It could be very slow. I don't use Studio Link at all because it doesn't work as I thought it would, so if it is not in Publisher... working in one app, then importing it... TimChinn
I still use PagePlus which has these features. Odd that they are not in Publisher given that they are from the same company.

fde101
Adding them to Publisher opens the opportunity for them to be integrated with data merge: consider the possibility of having a chart on a repeated page which collects its data from the merge source...
