Media Bank - a replacement for Lightroom...

The Affinity suite is superb and I think you have huge support from professionals. All we really need now is an application, a 'bank', to contain all the images, sound, video, text, etc., that we inevitably need in order to make use of Designer, Photo and Publisher. We can do nothing with any Affinity application without being able to draw on audio/visual resources. We can no longer rely on Adobe's classic Lightroom and most of us deeply dislike Adobe's subscription approach. PLEASE give us an Affinity MediaBank in which we can store and organise multimedia that can be easily imported into Affinity applications. Thank you!

I'm curious to learn how audio files are important in the Affinity Photo or Designer workflows.

Think Publisher... think app design...

Publisher is not for designing apps. It is for books and other printed materials. Loosely, I suppose that it is possible that one one might want to embed an audio file within an epub, when Publisher supports them, but that is about the only potential connection for audio that I see with any of the Affinity applications.

You may be looking there.

But I believe you'll find that Serif intends Publisher for books (and eventually ebooks). And they have been pretty clear that they're not interested (at least at this point) in apps that will do web design, video editing, and several other kinds of design that are common requests of them here in the forums. So it seems reasonable to assume that they're also not looking at applications that will help design mobile  apps.

(I cannot, of course, speak for Serif, but I have read a number of responses they've made which have informed my beliefs about what they're looking at.)

IMO it doesn't have to be a Lightroom replacement, something like Bridge would do just fine for me. Guess that would be a lot easier to build.

Thanks. I've never seen that term or abbreviation. Affinity is an application brand from the Serif company.

I think you'll find those are intended for creating book page sizes for books or other publications to be displayed on those devices. Not for designing applications to run on them. S

Still a bit of a stretch to needing a manager for audio files, in my opinion. But only the Serif team knows what they're planning for their eventual DAM (Digital Asset Manager).

According to their website the company is Serif (Europe) Ltd, not Affinity Serif.
