Coming from Illustrator CC, using the trial version of Designer.

  1. I can adjust the row size in the layers panel - there's a "Layers Panel Options" pop-out for small, med, large and custom. Just makes seeing each layer row much easier, especially since screen real estate isn't a concern.

    Does Designer have this option?

  2. I know, l know, all the comparisons, but I'm hoping for an easy workflow migration from Illustrator. When I click on an element in Illustrator, especially a busy one, I can click on the magnifying glass at the bottom of the layers panel - this will take me right to the row that element sits on.

    Does Designer have this option?

Thanks.

Hi Dr. Dave,

There's no Layers Panel Options window in Affinity unfortunately, so there's no such setting currently. You could change your Windows Display Scaling percentage, however this would affect the whole app, not just the layers panel.

Affinity has a Find in Layers Panel option, this can be found under the right click context menu on any object, or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + K.

When selecting an object in Designer it will always select the layer in the layers panel, so the aforementioned option is not needed.
