Imported PDF's stuck on points

Recommended Posts

Noticed a bug with imported pdfs - the measurements always default to points but in the latest build you can no longer change to mm or cm or whatever - I've tried with a few imported pdfs and it's the same with all  -

spread setup,
all spread,
show in units,
change points to mm -
OK = still points

It did bomb Pub after a few goes (and I lost all my panel placements) and tried restarting a few times + rebooted my mac but still having the problem

I only checked with one PDF but I see the same thing. In fact, after trying to change the units in Spread Setup, on closing that window the app does not even show "<Modified>" in the title header or ask to save changes if I just close the document after only making that change.

This also crashes the app after closing the document.

Fwiw, the internal measurement in pdfs is points. Which is likely why Serif uses it upon opening a pdf. Other applications I use do not do this and I think Serif ought to use whatever units a user has as their default units.

Or at least allow users to change the units to whatever they want to work with in APub after importing a PDF, much like we can do with PDF's imported into Affinity Designer.
