EXR support

Recommended Posts

I know EXR is supported currently but at the moment it lacks a bit.

When importing an EXR from a renderer, only the primary channel is improted and all data (most importantly the alpha channel) is automatically discarded.

Just wondering if it's possible to add this support in future as it's all open sourced. Photoshop doesn't do a good job either natively but there are a number of really good free plugins that accomplish proper EXR support.

Hi, that's odd, have you got an example? What renderer do you use?

I've rendered out plenty of EXRs and Photo correctly imports the channel data. Have you got alpha association enabled at all? (Instead of importing the alpha channel as a separate layer, it will merge it into the RGB layer's alpha channel)

Hope to hear back from you!
