Sabine 108
Is there something like a 'quarter em', Viertel-Geviert in german. I use it as a small space to group telephone numbers.

Alfred
A normal space is typically 1/4 em, but I think you want a thin space (1/5 or 1/6 em). http://jkorpela.fi/chars/spaces.html Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

TomGerritzen
The space that is missing and what is generally used for spacing phone numbers, mathematical formulas and thousands in large numbers is called the thin space (Unicode 8201). In German it is Smales Leerzeichen according to Wikipedia. I understand that InDesign does offer this special spacing character as well as the hair space, the figure space and others. garrettm30
I am able to use this and other varient spaces from the mac "Show Emoji & Symbols" menu (pictured below), but I have also requested in another thread that several of these spaces be added to the Insert menu, namely, thin space and hair space. I do use both of those.
