At least you will have a blank master of the correct size. All layers will still kave to be copied though :-(

It is also possible to do this in the layers studio.

  1. Create a new blank masterpage and assign it to the page with the contents.
  2. In the layers panel unlock the master page.
  3. Now select every element in the layers above the master page and move them into the master page.
  4. Lock the master page again.
  5. Finally remove the masterpage from the page. Now all the content is part of a new masterpage and can be applied to other pages.

This is not the Inkscape method but it should work for now :)

That works. Not as neat as the menu, but at least a workaround!

In Adobe InDesign, one can drag a Page icon from the Pages window into the Master Pages window to create a Master from a Page.

One can also select a page or a spread, then, from the Pages panel options menu, select the command to "Save as Master".

How do we submit the InDesign feature to Serif for adaptation???

You can suggest new features in the Feedback forum, but do it in the v2 forum and not in this v1 archive.

Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF
