kukula
Hi, in Affinity Designer, I created an artboard 48x48 px. After export PNG file is 48x49px. Moreover another artboard 216x216 exported PNG file 217x217.
Staff Sean P Posted September 24, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 24, 2018 Hi kukula, This happens if your object is not positioned (or sized) in whole pixels. Looking at you screenshot, it has a Y value of 2219.8px, giving you the extra pixel making it 48x49px. If you change this to 2220 or 2219px it will export out as 48x48. This is more than likely the same for the artboard location as well! If you tick 'Force Pixel Alignment' in the tool bar it will ensure the objects are always pixel aligned avoiding these issues. kukula
kukula
Thank you Sean. You are correct. Now I understand why Designer asked me about Forcing Pixel Alignment. Sean P
Polygonius
Except this, if you NEED an export with ultra-correct sizes (eg. some apps need its "animation-text" as a vertical stripe, all single-item must have exactly the same size....) all distances has to be the same... you need an invsible shape as placeholder! Example: A 10 entry text with a space from 2 point will be as text 98 point. The last "line" will not exported, even as Frame-text. So you need an extra invisible shape to get the correct 100point! You must export /slice the group (with that placeholder), otherwise you get only the incorrect "frame" of the text. Quote OSX 12.5 / iMac Retina 27" / Radeon Pro 580X / Metall: on! --- WWG1WGA WW!
