StickMeInTheEye
Hey, is there any way to get brush opacity and size get work like in photoshop? What i am talking about is that when i press alt key and mouse right button and move mouse left to right i can change brush size, and when i move mouse up and down i can change opacity of brush or tool what uses size and opacity values. hifred
firstdefence
Pressing <Alt> acts as a colour picker. Pressing <Alt> + <Ctrl> allows you to adjust the width (left & Right movement) and hardness (up & down Movement) < this is so wrong hahaha With the brush tool selected to change the opacity just type the opacity percent you want so if you wanted 50% just press the 5 and the 0 there are no modifier keys to press literally just type 50 and the opacity will change. https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Painting/painting.html Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... StickMeInTheEye
Well, works with Alt+mouse right button and Atl+Ctrl+Mouse right button... Okey, so it was right mouse button down then alt and then right mouse button at Affinity... Thank you..

If you want a two digit brush opacity % that ends in zero (like 10%, 20%, 50%, etc.) you do not need to tap the zero key (so just tap the 1, 2, 5, etc. number key). To enter ones that do not end in zero, tap the first & second number keys in quick succession. (You have to press them in quick succession to prevent the second tap as being interpreted as a different two digit one ending in zero.) To set 100%, just tap the zero key. The same thing works for setting the opacity of a layer when the Move, Node, Pen, or any other tool that does not have an opacity setting in its context toolbar is selected & the layer is selected in the Layers panel. An equally important and often needed setting. In Photoshop one sets the opacity using the scheme from your quote, and does the same thing with Shift held down for Flow. Seems not to work inside Affinity so far. 11 hours ago, StickMeInTheEye said: is there any way to get brush opacity and size get work like in photoshop? Nope, you have to use the mouse/sliders/brush-window for deeper edit! There is NO way for fast direction flip, no way for hold "size/opacity..." for all brushes independet ist own settings, but if you set "wet corners" for One brush, THIS will take for all brushes... Adjustments in the brush-panel will OVERWRITE that brush without asking and so on. But you can set special oppacity with 2time-it of eg. 4 to 4 or with 3-time hit to 444 = 100. Its a version one, all is working fine, but lot of comfort is missing, eg. better views for the brushes (if you want just one-click-textures...) or the possibility to reorganize the categorizes, batch move.... flip/flop...take a size temporially.... hifred 1 Quote OSX 12.5 / iMac Retina 27" / Radeon Pro 580X / Metall: on! --- WWG1WGA WW! Nah, too far away :o) Seems that Flow should be rather simple to add, as the whole number based limbo is already in place for opacity. Now another event had to get supported, using the exact same system, just with an additional modifier-key pressed and every Photoshop convert was a lot happier. Quote [Poll] Do you need a DAM?
