resampling an image and lighting filter

Recommended Posts

Hi Everybody, after I working on an image in AP and useing the lighting filter live layer I noticed that the position of the lighting filter change after I resample the image.

In practice the  light/s do not follow the new dimensions I have set in the resize box. I am wondering if there something wrong I do or this behaviour is normal. In this case it is a big inconvenience. Thanks.

PS: to resize the images I do the following:

Document -Resize Document- Resample Option on- enter the new dimension in inches -select the DPI select a resampling metod and click resize.

Most Live Filter Layers don't respond well to resizing the document using Document > Resize Document and they will neither move their origin point or scale accordingly

But you can resize the image using the handles on the image to resize it to a specific width/height (as monitored in the Transform Panel) and the Liver Filter Layer will also resize proportionally. Then use Document > Clip Canvas to clip the canvas to the new image size.

Alternatively if you are sure you wont want to adjust the Live Lighting Layer in the future just Merge it into the image layer. Then resizing the document should work Ok

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
