How to delete a preset

Recommended Posts

You cannot delete the first 4 presets (Unconstrained, Original Ratio, Custom Ratio, or Absolute Dimensions) because they are built into the app & there would be no way to get the functionality of any of them back if they could be deleted.

But you should be able to delete any custom preset you have created, which appear below the 4 built-in ones. Can you not do that?

Affinity Photo

But that shouldn't be necessary, in general, should it, @GabrielM?

I find the same problem on occasion. I will select a crop preset, and try to delete it, but I find that it won't remain selected. And this can't be deleted. But others will select and delete just fine.

Until we manage to replicate it and find out what's going on, that's the only way to "delete" presets.

You're right. It should not be necessary, but that's the workaround for the meantime.

Can only get to Users and then cannot see Libray.

From Finder, hold down the option key & click on the "Go" menu item. You should see your normally hidden home Library folder among the choices. Or Click on Go  > Go to folder & enter ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/ in the window that popup up, & click the "Go" button to go to the folder that contains the "Application Support" folder.

Yes, I was able to upload the Application support folder (took a long time, hope it is useful).

By the way The next day, I think, De delete fuction functioned.

Ok, that seems to be a random problem. the point is that I am not continuosly deleting presets but It happened more than once. This for you to check it out. As far as the unzipped files, well that is what dropbox did. I am not too savvy and I do not have any idea how to zip files,  actually I am amazed by the size of the uploaded files, long time to upoload too..., whilst  when I clicked the application support it contained very little. Ok, enough, Thanks anyway.
