Copy/Paste to master crashes platform

Recommended Posts

Right clicked and copied graphic on a spread, then double clicked the Master to insert using right-click "paste" and BOOM.

Recovery file was a nice catch all, mucho thanks.

Version number 1.7.0.128

What kind of graphic are you talking about? Was it something you created in Publisher itself? Or a file you placed as an image? If so, what kind of file was it? Was it a very complex graphic? I think Serif staff needs more info to investigate this.

I can copy all kinds of objects from a real spread to a master spread...

Wim,

What kind of graphic are you talking about? :

The graphic is a simple line drawing with fill of a paper aeroplane.

Was it something you created in Publisher itself?

It was originally created in illustrator.

What kind of file is it?

It's a PNG

Complex graphic?

No, simple line drawing of paper aeroplane.

I placed the image in the file via File>place after highlighting it and copying it from a spread.

Could you attach the file(s) so we can have a go at reproducing it, please? :)

Chris, I do apologize. For what it's worth, the latest version does not replicate the problem I was experiencing before. However, I'm not sure it may have been something in the image file to begin with.

I'll attach it to this posting.
