dieseldave
I have a recurrent problem with the smaller branches of trees have a misty blue color surrounding the branches. the sky is usually just white, although it is sometimes a very light blue, much lighter than the trees. I tried following the sky replacement tutorial, an was able to use another pic of the sky, but using the define doesn't work, and the blue of the sky doesn't match. see attachment. I uploaded several files since I didn't know which would be best? DSC01525.ARW gaymill.afphoto
Staff Gabe Posted September 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 19, 2018 Hi @dieseldave, I'm not really sure what is the before and after here. The RAW file is different from the image. Also, the .afphoto file is corrupt. Are you talking about this? If so, that's just fringing - an optical aberration. You can remove it using the Defringe filter ( Filters > Colours > Defringe ). If you're actually talking about this: You can try and remove that using the Filters > Haze removal tool. Also, make sure you Refine your mask when you change the sky. Thanks, Gabe.
